According to an article on the Wall Street Journal, 3.3 million AT&T landline subscribers said goodbye and 1.2 million wireless subscribers say hello. Of that 1.2 million, two-thirds were iPhone users. And from an earlier post, we know that iPhone users are driving mobile web traffic into the mid-double-digits. What does that mean? More and more people are moving their Internet experience to their mobile devices.
For me, 75% of the time I am seeing emails on my mobile first. And, if I dont’ like what I see, I delete it. But when something is designed for my phone and looks great, then I give it a second look. Even though iPhones get all the attention, Blackberry, Palm and Google are just around the corner. As these devices become more standard, you’ll have one more thing to worry about when designing that HTML email.
