How are you using Twitter?
I twitter quite often and have used it for several of the reasons you mentioned. I use it to check up to see what people are saying about a product, I’m interested in. I retweet in hopes of winning an iPhone, which I already own. Although my suggestion is if you run a contest only allow the person to retweet once, otherwise they start to annoy their friends. And i use it regularly to read whats the latest development from app developers and software developerss. I also caught word that Pizza Hut is going to run a promotion through twitter on the 4th of July.
I use tumblr for blogging which is linked to my twitter. My twitter updates every time I post on tumblr. I keep in touch with friends, post stuff from around the city, post encouraging quotes and keep everyone in the loop with Carlito my 6 year old little star.
I love it! It kills 2 birds with one stone.
