I am really excited about this phone. It’s billed as a true iPhone competitor. It appears to be built from the ground up with that very intention in mind. Actually, scratch that. They want a device that is life-centric, to be the hub of your life. Which is likely what iPhone set out to do from the beginning and it really feels like it will actually do that.

PalmOS has been languising the last half-decade, overtaken by the likes of Symbian and Windows Mobile. I am glad to see that the granddaddy of the PDA/phone world is making a comeback. The new Palm Pre OS appears in a touch-screen format that reminds me a lot of the T-Mobile/HTC G1 and on the Sprint network to begin with, though I’ve seeen some unlocked variants online.
