Here are some cool things I’ve seen on blogs in the past few weeks. From wearable art to guerrila collaboration to the benefits of free speech.
- Scrapbooking for the 21st Century: Marta Strickland’s “Recently Consumed” blog looks at her upcoming European vacation and how she can use digital media to really document her trip on the fly.
- Wal-Mart Tastemakers Write Unfiltered Blog: This NYT story was linked via the WOMMA word blog. Love how a totally reviled company like Wal-Mart is unshackling free speech in this buyer-penned blog–and seeing that it can be beneficial! It’s also a very well-designed blog.
- Designer Political Tees: Many of you know of my pseudo-academic study of street art, so this article about the Shepard Fairey-designed Obama tee vs. the Marc Jacobs-designed Hill tee piqued my interest.
- Design is in the Details: My friend Naz Hamid wrote this piece for A List Apart about how a designer’s most important tool is critical thinking.
- Building a Culture of Innovation: Food for thought from Critical Mass head honcho David Armano about how to facilitate organic collaboration.
