Vote! It’s voting day! I love, love voting and try to be one of the first voters of the day. This morning, I rolled into my polling place at 6:43 a.m. and felt like I was a slacker. I figured there would be lines out the door, that I’d have to wait. Nope. I was voter #7. At least this election participation is looking to outpace the aldermanic election I voted in last year, where only 17 people voted at my polling place ALL day.

So there I was, prepped for a wait, with my cross-referenced and researched candidate list, an iPod chock-a-block with fresh podcasts and even coffee. But no line. So Slackers, get out there and vote today. Bring in your voter reg slip tomorrow and I’ll give you a muffin, vegan and delicious.

I voted and was greeted with decent lines at 8:00a. I love voting! Now I get to complain guilt-free!
